About Alaska Vacation Blog

Retweet

Planning a trip to Alaska can be a confusing experience, and when I created Alaska Vacation Store, I wanted to achieve two things: I wanted to give people access to the knowledge and expertise that you only get when you work with someone that is actually here in Alaska, and I wanted to treat vacation planning as art – my guests are commissioning me to create a vacation for them that represents the wonder and beauty of Alaska… but it also needs to be in a form that works well for them.

My reason for creating the blog was so that my guests (and potential guests) and others that are interested in visiting Alaska could get a bit of commentary from me, and to get to know me a little better. I truly believe that planning a visit to Alaska is a very personal process, and it isn’t something that you should simply pick from a collection of websites. In order for you to decide if I am the right person to collaborate with you about your visit to Alaska, you need to know something about me. For some, that is an issue of gathering professional references (something I am happy to provide) and for others, it is about having a shared vision of what Alaska is about.

I have strong opinions about Alaska, and how it should be experienced. For some, that means that I am not the right choice to help you with your visit. My guiding principle is this: When I first came to Alaska, it changed my life. It should change your life, too.
